my friend
...wednesday morning when tori woke up at my house, i joked with her saying, "while you were sleeping your mom had a baby sister and named her sophie!" she laughed, because i tease her often! her brother lucas is beautiful~he was born premature and his lungs are not fully developed, so he will be in the hospital for at least a week. i have spent as much time as possible in the last two days at the hospital with my friend rebekah~just trying to do what i can to keep her spirits up and be supportive. i know when i'm with rebekah that i don't have to say anything at all, just be there-but as a mother i wish there were words to take away the pain of having to go home tomorrow without him in her arms. there are none, but i trust that they will rest in our Father's arms and let Him carry it all.
to blog or to nap?
...i spent the day with my kids and some friends at the nature discovery park in aliante~we had FUN! i have been complaining because the weather is so nice and i don't have a vehicle everyday to get out of the house, so this was a perfect day! andy has been asking me when i'm going to blog and i always say, "i don't have time to sit in front of the computer!" then, today i caught the first ten minutes of "the ellen degeneres show" and she was saying how she keeps meaning to go work out but just doesn't have the time. then she realized she can find the time to go out to eat or watch tv, so she started making other excuses. so this is for you, andy, i could be napping!
things on my mind lately:
*orange cleans really well (even my shampoo is orange!)
*i want to be the next dr suess of children's books-i need a cool pen name??
*it is so much easier to find fault in everyone else-but does it make us feel better?
*michelle hunt makes yummy fudge ribbon cake!
*how beautiful & perfect i find my children and how beautiful & perfect my Father finds me!
*i'm reading "the red tent"-very interesting novel about the women in the Bible sharing husbands and menstrual cycles!
*why did it take us 8 years to find a bar of soap we can agree on??
*baby isabel.

funny story-since my last blog, my 8 year old nephew got "in trouble" in sunday school for letting the teacher know that she was telling the Bible story wrong--maybe it wasn't the most respectful thing to do, but turns out he was right! so, i'm not the only one that feels this way!
truth
...tonight we went to a canyon ridge service-only because my boys are presidents of the "i wanna be gene and touch his new guitar" fan club--Hooked was leading worship. tonight i heard a sermon preached about lifting up the church leadership, not my Father's love. tonight i saw an outline put together to serve the church and they missed the real story of paul and timothy's journey. tonight i watched many come and be filled with what they needed, they cleared the place- like tommy would say-a nigthclub on fire with only one exit! over the last four years, i have have been on this amazing journey, learning about God's love for me and how much He desires my true love without walls and boundaries. in the beginning, i would have left tonight discouraged with the church, saddened with His people-but tonight i left encouraged--to read my Bible and let God open my eyes to the truth of His word and unlearn all the sermons i've been taught as gospel. i'm going to read it as it was written, a true story.
today i got an apology from a old friend that i have seen or spoken with in eight years~weird day, i'm still processing all of this so thanks for listening.
APRIL
...damon celebrated his "3rd" birthday-Spiderman!; avery was born-i cried reading her mommy & daddy's blogs!; clay lost a little piece of his childlike innocence as he realized what divorce means, asked many ?'s and let mom know that i can never marry another dad (oh yeah, he also learned that "damn" is a bad word that the trampoline bouncing neighbor boy taught him and that smoking cigarettes will kill you). ; andy & i went to the monet art display at the bellagio; watched "Kill Bill" volume I and II--found it funny that a special warning for the violence is posted at the theater for "The Passion of the Christ" and NOT "KILL BILL"! ;we enjoyed almost everyday this month outside doing something-it makes me & the kids happy when the weather is beautiful! ;damon went on his first "date" with hayden to the movies-so cute! i finished reading dr laura's new book, "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" and now i'm passing it on--i would highly recommend it to every wife! ; ella is getting around and into everything-she turned 8 months and is more fun and more beautiful every day!
